Dauphin Island - beauty in our own backyard... |
|
|
|
|
An upclose look reveals images that many overlook.
"I caught a fish
THIS BIG!"
is the caption for this photo of seagulls... uh...
communicating. On a recent motorcycle trip to Dauphin
Island, Debbie & I found some beautiful up close
photo opportunities. Although most of these photos were taken
just
before Hurricane Ivan visited the area, the images shown here
can still be seen. Even in the midst of turmoil, our area - and
our world - is a beautiful place. Our thoughts and prayers are
with those
rebuilding and cleaning up and we hope that these images are
a reminder of the beauty in our own backyard.
PHOTO TIP: When travelling, it is always good to get
the usual photos, but
if you take a little time and take an up close look, you can
always find beauty & interest in the little things. Try it next
time that you travel. You'll be glad you did!

Saenger Theatre... before & during renovation.
It's a view that
very few Mobilians have ever seen.
MyShotz.com shot the very last photos of the historical
Saenger Theatre in Mobile before the massive renovation
began to
restore the beautiful venue. We have also been documenting
the renovation. Take a peek at some of the latest happenings
as the Saenger undergoes a facelift that will restore beauty and
add functionality to the incredible theatre. One of the most
interesting set of photos are the close up shots of the ceiling...
from a temporary floor on top of the massive scaffolding that
put us face-to-face with the enormous chandelier and the
historical crest.

Hey! Has anyone seen Bessie???
Driving down a country road outside of Prattville, Alabama
on a
recent shoot for Alabama Electric Cooperatives, we saw this
most unusual sight. This cow was out of the pasture and was
chomping through the sunflowers. Not wanting to miss this
photo opportunity, we stopped the van, backed up and jumped
out. Debbie and I were able to snap only one photo each
before
Bessie charged and jumped BACK into the pasture.
It was just a test of being able to quickly react and snap the
photo! We can capture the same unplanned moments for you!
